Most studios sell a room. We built The Chat Room to sell a result. It sits at 420 Lincoln Rd in Miami Beach, steps from one of the most walked streets in the country, and it holds four distinct sets under one roof. That combination changes how a shoot day works, because a single booking can cover several looks without anyone loading a truck.
This is a walk through how the space is organized, who works inside it, what a typical day looks like, and how to decide whether it fits your project. If you have only seen photos, think of this as the tour we would give you in person.
Four sets, one booking
The reason to have four sets is simple. Clients rarely need only one look. A founder recording a podcast also needs a few talking head clips for LinkedIn. A brand shooting product content also wants an interview with the person who built it. A creator planning a month of content wants variety so the feed does not look like the same room on repeat.
With four sets in one building, we can move from one setup to the next while the crew keeps rolling. Lighting is already built. Audio is already treated. Backgrounds are already styled. You change wardrobe, walk to the next set, and the director calls action. A shoot that would take a full day across multiple rented locations can often be done in a half day or less.
That efficiency matters to the budget. Time is the most expensive thing on any production, and the fastest way to save it is to remove setup and travel. The sets do that work for you.
The crew is part of the room
Every booking at The Chat Room includes a director, a director of photography, an audio engineer, and a producer. That is not an add-on. It is how the studio operates.
The director works with you on delivery, pacing, and energy, which matters most for people who are not used to being on camera. The DP handles framing, lens choices, and lighting so you look like the best version of yourself. The audio engineer monitors sound live, because bad audio is the one flaw viewers will not forgive. The producer manages the schedule, the guest flow, and the deliverables so nothing gets lost between the shoot and the edit.
If you have rented a bare studio before, you know the difference. You are not hunting for a lighting stand or wondering whether the microphone is picking up the air conditioner. A team is already looking after those details.
What we shoot here
The studio handles podcasts and video podcasts, interviews, branded talking head content, short form social video, product and lifestyle content, and livestreams. It is also a strong home base for a recurring content program, where a client books the same crew every month and builds a library over time.
The location helps. Lincoln Road puts you near restaurants, hotels, and the creative energy of Miami Beach, which is useful when you are bringing in guests or talent. Clients flying in from other cities find it easy to reach, and local clients from Brickell, Wynwood, and Coral Gables can reach it without a long commute.
Because the studio is a controlled environment, you skip many of the problems of location work: street noise, permits, weather, and unpredictable light. We still shoot on location when the story demands it, and many projects combine a studio day with an exterior session. The Chat Room is where the heavy lifting happens.
What a day actually looks like
A typical session begins days before arrival. We talk through the goal, the format, the guests, and the deliverables. If it is a batch of short form content, we plan the scripts and shot list. If it is a podcast, we plan the episode structure and the guest prep.
On the day, the team arrives early to confirm lighting and audio. You arrive, meet the crew, and settle in. The director runs a quick warm-up, and recording begins. Between setups, the producer keeps things moving and manages wardrobe changes, water, and breaks.
After the shoot, we move straight into post. Depending on the scope, that can include editing, captions, color, sound mix, motion graphics, and cutdowns for different platforms. Many clients leave the studio knowing exactly when they will receive the first cut.
Pricing, honestly
Studio pricing depends on the number of sets, the length of the session, the crew, and what you want delivered. A crewed half day usually falls in the range of 1,500 to 5,000 dollars, and larger multi-set production days cost more. Editing and post-production are scoped separately so you only pay for what you use. We quote every project in writing before the shoot.
Is it the right fit?
The Chat Room is a strong fit if you want polished content without building your own infrastructure, if you plan to shoot repeatedly, or if you need a team that can direct and not only record. It is less suited to a project that depends on a specific outdoor location or a very large cast. For those, we plan a location shoot and may use the studio for supporting scenes.
