Every booking agent, festival buyer, and playlist editor in Miami gets the same email forty times a week. A link, a bio, and a promise that the music speaks for itself. Most of those emails get skimmed and closed. The artists who get replies tend to have one thing in common: they make it easy to understand who they are in under two minutes.
That is what an electronic press kit video does. It is the visual version of your pitch, built to be sent, embedded, and shared. We are Live Global Studios, a full-service production company on Miami Beach, and we build EPKs for artists, bands, DJs, and producers who want to be taken seriously by the people who book, sign, and promote them.
What an EPK video actually is
An EPK video is a short film, usually two to four minutes, that introduces an artist. It combines performance footage, an interview, behind-the-scenes moments, and the details a buyer needs to make a decision. Think of it as a trailer for your career.
It is not a highlight reel with a song underneath. A reel shows that you can perform. An EPK shows who you are, why people care, and what working with you looks like. Promoters in Miami Beach, Wynwood, and Brickell want to know if you draw a crowd, if you are professional, and if your brand fits their room. A strong EPK answers all three.
What goes inside
We structure most EPKs around five pieces. A cold open with the strongest live or studio moment. A short on-camera interview where the artist tells their story in their own words. Performance clips shot to look as good as the sound. Proof, such as press quotes, streaming milestones, or notable stages, presented only when verified. And a clean closing card with booking contact details.
We write interview questions in advance and coach artists before the camera rolls. Many musicians are brilliant on stage and stiff in an interview. A few minutes of direction changes that. The goal is natural and specific, not rehearsed.
Where we shoot it
The Chat Room, our Miami Beach studio, has four sets, so an artist can film the interview in a warm lounge setup, the performance on a stripped down stage, and portrait content against a clean backdrop, all in one day. For artists with a strong local identity, we also take the crew out to the places that explain their sound: a rehearsal room in Little Havana, a rooftop in Wynwood, the water at sunset along the causeway, or the venue where they first built a following.
Every booking includes a director, a director of photography, an audio engineer, and a producer. Audio quality is what separates an EPK from a phone video. The audio engineer captures clean interview sound and makes sure performance audio is usable or syncs to a studio master.
The assets that come with it
One shoot can produce much more than one video. We cut the full EPK for your website and booking emails, plus shorter versions for Instagram and TikTok, a thirty second teaser, and stills pulled from the day for press and social. Photography can be added to the package. We can also design a one page brand sheet or press layout so your visuals stay consistent.
What it costs
Honest ranges for South Florida: a studio-based EPK with one interview, a short performance, and a polished edit often runs from about 2,500 to 6,000 dollars. A fuller production with location work, multiple performance setups, drone footage, and a set of social cutdowns typically runs from 7,000 to 15,000 dollars. We will tell you which version matches where your career is right now. A great two minute film beats a bloated ten minute one.
Frequently asked questions
How long should an EPK video be?
Two to four minutes for the main version. Shorter cutdowns serve social media and quick pitches.
Do I need original music?
You need music you control the rights to. If you use samples or licensed tracks, we flag the risks before the edit begins.
Can you shoot a live show for the EPK?
Yes. We can cover a live set with multiple cameras and clean audio, and combine it with interview and studio footage.
How soon can I get it?
Most EPKs finish within two to four weeks after the shoot. Rush delivery is available when a booking deadline is close.
